How the Ipsos and NAMI Partnership Strengthened Mental Health Awareness Through Our Community’s Voice

What happens when thousands of voices come together? It starts with something simple. Perspectives shared. Opinions expressed. Experiences captured.

Individually, each voice is just one point of view. But together, collective voices become something much more powerful - a clear signal for change in mental health.

This is the first story in a series exploring the real-world impact behind Ipsos iSay surveys — how your voices come together to influence what happens next in mental health discussions and support for the 988 Lifeline.

One example comes from the Ipsos and NAMI Partnership, focused on strengthening mental health support in the United States.

From your opinions to something bigger

Since 2021, Ipsos and NAMI have worked together to better understand how people perceive mental health care and crisis response.

At the center of this work is the NAMI & Ipsos research on the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline - a service designed to support people in moments of distress.

By bringing together thousands of perspectives, this work helped highlight:

  • How familiar people are with the 988 Lifeline
  • How much they trust crisis support services
  • How strongly they support funding for mental health care

One insight stood out clearly:

👉 When awareness increases, trust grows.  And when trust grows, more people are willing to reach out for help.

When your voices turn into action

When your opinions come together, they create directions.

The results of the collaboration between Ipsos and NAMI helped shape public awareness efforts and supported important conversations around mental health funding and access.

Strong public support became visible.

Today, 8 in 10 Americans support funding for crisis response services. This is what happens when voices align. Real impact, in real life

This is where it becomes tangible.

  • Over $500 million per year secured in government funding for the 988 Lifeline
  • More than 10 million people have reached out for support since 2022
  • Increased awareness and trust in crisis services
  • Expanded access to mental health care across the country

These outcomes go beyond data. They represent real people getting support, real needs being met, and real progress in how mental health is prioritized.

Why your voice matters

Mental health is one of the most important topics today - especially for younger generations.

Access to support, awareness of available resources, and trust in the system all shape whether help is sought and received.

Because of this, bringing your voices together continues to play a key role in identifying needs and shaping better solutions.

More than data

The impact of collaboration between Ipsos and NAMI shows what’s possible when opinions are brought together at scale.

✔ They can highlight what needs attention
✔ They can support better decisions
✔ They can contribute to meaningful improvements
✔ They can help shape what comes next

Because when your opinions are captured at scale, they don’t just describe the world - they help move it forward.

What happens next

There is still more to understand, more to improve, and more progress ahead.

Across different topics - from mental health to sustainability - Ipsos iSay surveys turn opinions into action and help shape better products, services, and decisions.

👉 Be part of what comes next

Because your voice has power.  And together, it helps Influence the future.
