April Fools' Day – a day when chaos reigns supreme, laughter echoes in halls, and our most mischievous delight in causing a little mayhem! We asked visitors to the Ipsos iSay website all about their April Fools’ Day opinions, so join the fun while we share how the community reacts to the festivities of April 1st.
Beware, Ipsos iSay members, a bit less than a quarter (22.7%) of those among you are dedicated pranksters who love pulling pranks and getting pranked! We also have many casual jokers among us who say that although April Fools’ Day isn’t their favourite, they’re still a good sport about it (40.9%). Only about one in six Ipsos iSay visitors say they don’t enjoy pranks at all (17.8%).
Who might be on the receiving end of all this April Fools’ fun? Many pranksters keep their skills sharpened at home. Our poll shows that many in the Ipsos iSay community are aiming for family members (33.9%) or friends (27.7%). Spouses and partners aren’t safe either, with just under a quarter (22.8%) planning to target them in the name of April Fools’ humour. Although some may get annoyed (9.4%), a majority of the Ipsos iSay community say they can take a joke and laugh it off (67%). However, there’s a small but devious group (11.6%) who are ready to plot revenge pranks!
This April Fools’ Day, whether you’re planning some crafty little surprises or trying to dodge any pranks, just remember to have fun and enjoy the spirit of the day!
